After having set up meticulously his astro-physical laboratory in the public square Professor Zweistein (Andreas -Valentin- Hecker) introduces the annual conference on space research with a fantastic, nearly scientific speech on modern science, which leads immediately to a long series of experiments, where Professor Zweistein is illustrating the long way of modern science from its beginning until nowadays. From experiment to experiment, Professor Zweistein, tenacious and inexhaustible in his scientific mission, succeeds to finally climb onto his spaceship with the help and complicity of his audience.
He flies into space, explores the absence of gravity and finding his way back to the ground, he has to realize ”We succeeded travelling to space, but the earth….?”
